The Sheriff's Office Administration Division is headed by Justice Midkiff (Jail Administrator), and includes Hope Burns (Administrative Assistant) and Chastidy Brown (Dispatch Supervisor/TAC Officer/ Tiger Officer).
Mr. Midkiff is in charge of overseeing all operations that pertain to the Clay County Detention Center, This includes Fingerprinting, Well-being of inmates, answering requests, taking FOIA claims that involve the jail, answer grievances, and take care of scheduling for the jail.
Mrs. Burns is responsible for receiving, maintaining, and tracking all civil processes that comes to the Sheriff's Office. These include Orders of Protection, Summonses, Subpoenas, Eviction Notices, and various Writs. She also assists with receptionists and telephone operators responsibilities in the Administration Offices. She also has primary responsibility for maintaining all Incident/Office Reports and Accident Reports that are submitted by the various deputies. Another very important duty is maintaining complete files on all Registered Sex Offenders residing in Clay County.
Ms. Brown directly maintains all active warrants. She ensures that all are valid and correctly maintained in the Arkansas Crime Information Center and National Crime Information Center. She handles both Felony and Misdemeanor warrants. Ms. Brown also handles Tiger Billing for commissary of the inmates, along with supervising all Dispatcher activity and scheduling. In addition, to being a full time dispatcher.
