Trafficking Investigation leads to seizure of narcotics from storage facility
Corning, Arkansas. On November 21st, 2022, agents with the Second Judicial Drug Task Force were alerted to a large quantity of narcotics within a storage facility near the 400 block of 2nd Street in Corning, which is in close proximity to a child day care within the city. A police canine was summoned to the storage facility and subsequently indicated the presence of narcotics emitting from one of the units.
A court authorized search warrant was granted at which time agents entered the unit and located over seven pounds of methamphetamine, marijuana, and one AK-47 rifle with a large amount ammunition.
Evidence collected from the storage facility incriminated Ms. Christa Denson, W/F, 7/29/1990 of Corning. Denson was taken into custody and transported to Greene County Sheriffs Office. Denson was charged with the following:
Trafficking of a Controlled Substance (Class Y),
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,
Possession of a Scheduled 6 Narcotic with intent to deliver, and
Distribution of a Controlled Substance near certain facilities (day care).
On November 22, 2022 the court found probable cause for Denson's arrest and ordered a one million dollar bond and other court ordered provisions of which Denson must meet if her bond is met.
Agencies that were involved in this arrest were from Clay, Greene, and Craighead Counties. Corning, Paragould and Piggott Police Departments, and the Arkansas State Police.
